History
Cygnus, Inc. was founded in the summer of 1988 by former Douglas Aircraft engineer Jack Ambrosiani. With his aerospace engineering, financial and management background, Jack envisioned building an organization that was committed to the philosophy that ethical business practices would result in long term valued customers, contracts, employees and profitable longevity.
Cygnus started in a 1500 sq ft facility in Ponderay,ID with only 3 employees and has grown into 44,000 sq ft and about 100 employees, adding new capabilities with every expansion. By bringing manufacturing and processing capabilities in-house, we have been able to significantly cut our lead times to the customer.
Over the years, Cygnus, Inc. has received numerous awards for outstanding Customer Service, including Northrop Grumman's Supplier of the Year in 2004, 2006, and 2008 as well as the Boeing Performance Excellence Award from 2008 - 2012.

At it's simplest, our corporate quality policy is: Conformance to requirements and continual improvement.
To expand on what our corporate quality policy means, we believe that quality is the fulfilling process of improving our business, our products, our customer's satisfaction, and ourselves with flexibility, efficiency and innovation of systems and thought process. We continuously strive to enhance product quality, on time delivery, lead times, responsiveness, process reliability, waste reduction, employee growth and profitability.
